PHILLIP MINNIS PHOTOGRAPHY WEB-SITE

MICROSTOCK PHOTOGRAPHY

Prior to April 2007, I knew nothing about microstock photography.  Once it was pointed out to me that any photographer can join a site, commence uploading images, and earn anything ranging from a few extra dollars each year, to an entire living, I promptly set about joining a number of these sites.  I am sure that most of us want to earn a few extra dollars to help to pay for a new lens, some new equipment, or to put towards the next photography trip.  This was certainly the case with me.

During the first twelve months, I uploaded between 400 and 600 images to around 13 microstock photography sites. After that, I decided to sit back for a while and observe how my sales went on these sites.  Recently, I deleted my images from the sites where I did not achieve sufficient sales, and decided to concentrate on building up a large portfolio of images on the ones that were achieving average to very good sales for me each month.  I now have between 1300 and 2300 images on these sites, and these numbers keep growing as I add more images each week.

Why don't you give it a go?  I'm certainly glad I did!  Since uploading to these sites, I've earned thousands of dollars.

Below are banners linking to the sites that I currently upload to.  Simply click on the banner and you’ll be taken to the site.  Once there, you’ll be able to view information on how to become a contributing photographer, as well as the criteria required.
